Sarah Silverstone
I am a tutor with 25 years of experience, first as a classroom teacher then as a tutor. I have my Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Columbia University, Teachers College and a BA in Psychology from Emory University.
I work with students in the Charlottesville area and, thanks to Zoom, beyond. Currently, I offer individual language arts tutoring and a variety of customizable reading and writing classes. I believe that students learn best when they are invested in and enjoying their work, so I strive to make my classes and tutoring fun as well as rigorous.
All of my classes are highly customizable, to fit a wide variety of needs. Please fill out the Inquiry Form, linked above, to schedule a free consultation with me.
My rates for tutoring and classes vary based on what you need from me, but typically Individual tutoring is $75 an hour. For my classes, the rates vary widely based on course length, meeting frequency, your desired outcomes (grades and report narratives vs. an enrichment class for fun etc.) and the number of students.
